The great thing about crochet is that we can make stuff out of ANYTHING. There is NOTHING we can't crochet or with which we can't design beautiful and outrageous things!
Since our founding we felt it was important to push the crochet agenda by having our members suggest crochet friendly brands of supplies, yarn and stores... not the ones who judge us, but the ones who embrace the hook and the hands who wield it...
You can't buy your way on to the list... but if you're on the list you can advertise to the community who will support the heck out of you.

CLF Members recommend crochet friendly shops, products and yarn companies to celebrate being respected as bone fide fiber artists.
The only way to get on the list is to meet member set criteria with a vote from members. (Companies can not self nominate)

It's not about brand names, it's about respect to the hooker and the quality they deserve.Â
Crochet Friendly Yarn Stores
The first criteria is good customer service. None of that, "This yarn is too nice to crochet with nonsense." Look we can crochet with spaghetti and bacon, alright? We can handle a little silk and alpaca, and yeah acrylic is washable so... don't diss the hook or hooker...
Having a good variety of patterns, samples and hooks is probably a good idea if you want on the list.
